Inspection Stages
Slab Pre-Pour Inspection
A pre-pour (steel) inspection is carried out once all reinforcing steel work has been completed and before the concrete slab is poured. This inspection typically takes place the afternoon prior to the scheduled pour. In some cases, it may occur on the morning of the pour, though this is uncommon.
This stage is critical, as the steel reinforcement forms the first structural element of your home’s foundation.
During the pre-pour inspection, we verify that all formwork and steel reinforcement have been installed exactly as specified in the site and engineering plans.
If retaining walls have been completed at this time. We will visibly check as per the plans as part of the Pre-Pour inspection.
